Hi @typegal,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The "supply system problem" message on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 All-In-One Printer typically indicates an issue with the ink supply system, which could be related to the cartridges or the printhead.
Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow.
Check the Cartridges:
- Make sure the cartridges are properly installed.
- Ensure that the cartridges are genuine HP cartridges.
- Inspect the cartridges for any protective tape that might not have been removed.
Reinsert the Cartridges:
- Remove the cartridges and then reinsert them to ensure proper contact.
- Turn off the printer, wait for a minute, and then turn it back on before reinserting the cartridges.
Clean the Cartridge Contacts:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- Remove the cartridges.
- Use a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water to gently clean the electrical contacts on the cartridges and inside the printer where the cartridges sit.
- Allow the contacts to dry completely before reinserting the cartridges.
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 60 seconds.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
Update Printer Firmware:
- Ensure that your printer firmware is up to date. You can check for updates through the HP Smart app or the HP website.
Check for Obstructions:
- Open the printer and check for any obstructions or jammed paper that might be affecting the ink supply system.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
