I am on a 2024 Macbook, running Sonoma OS, this is a new printer that has just been set up and networked, everything is new and fine. I have the printer added to my OS print center and the HP printing App.


I am trying to print from Adobe Illustrator directly and it will not print. It appears in my print center and the printer responds quickly but then never finishes the job, the error being — " unsupported file format". When i go through the trouble of exporting the file to PDF it prints just fine, but i want to print directly from my Applications, and not from HP's print center, or anything like that.
