I've had another printhead failure on an Officejet 7612.  I cannot find an original HP prinhead replacment for this printer, nor HP setup ink cartridges.  This is my 3rd HP 7612.  Seems once the printhead fails there is no way to restore the printer.  If you take the prinhead out, flush the head and reservoir tanks, clean all the brass contacts  and then reinstall the printhead and install new HP cartridges, the printer will not recognize itself. Original setup cartridges are depleted and long gone.  I find no resource to purchase a new setup set, no resource to purchase a genuine HP printhead.  Seems HP silently assumes this is a throwaway printer...or one has to be an electrical engineer to fix it.  I've torn down 2 of these and at least a hundred hours trying to fix.  I read there is a way to do a master reset peculiar to each unit.  How do I get specific info in this regard.  Seems it's specific to a serial number?
