I have a HP Officejet 8610 and 8620. Both suddenly showing error message that cartridges are damaged and need replacing. I have replaced with new genuine HP cartridges and even tried a second set. Still receiving same error message. I've cleaned the heads, uninstalled and installed the drivers, ensured firmware is up to date, done multiple restart processes suggested in other posts, and waited on HP help-line for over 4 combined hours.

What did HP send out via updates to cause these issues?

Is it not enough to be buying $180 in ink per set, than now we need to replace printers? If so, I will never have another HP product in my home or business.
