Message with code 0x6100004a reads, "There is a problem with the printer or ink system. Turn the printer Off, then On. If you continue to get this message, contact HP."

I did turn the printer off, then on, still having the same problem. I have done one other thing to try to fix it that I read online: unplugged the cord from the machine while it was idle, unplugged the other side of the cord from the power, waited 60+ seconds, plugged the cord back into the machine, plugged the cord back into the power, waited for printer to go through startup process and I'm still getting the same error.

Is there anything that can be done to fix this or is the printer shot? The printer is several years old. Thank you.
