Hp officejet pro 6960

HP Officejet Pro 6960 won't print black ink despite buying new cartridge and cleaning printhead. Ive put old one back in, then new one, turned off, turned on and noting works.

The screen that shows ink levels on the display shows a full black but it won't print black

Hello I have tried everything that you have suggested full stop all of the alignments look fine as do the colours it's just simply that the black ink doesn't print out on them

That is unfortunate.

The only other solution I have to offer is the second one from my first message - that is, see if you can get replacement ink from HP.

I have replaced the colour ones and they work fine. This is the second black one i have tried

The link you have posted suggest defective colour cartridges as opposed to black. Does that matter?

Might matter.

There is a known issue with cartridges for the listed types and printers.

It has been going on for a while.

It might still be a "thing".

If your cartridge(s) are impacted, it is worth checking to see if you can get a replacement.
