I had the same issue where the printer kept saying it detected a document feeder jam. There was No jam ... powered off several times, but the error screen stayed on. I saw where someone had disassembled the feeder and optical detector, so in frustration I picked up a can of "Canned Air" compressed air and spritzed all over in the ADF feeder area. The error cleared up! Not entirely sure why, but the document feeder is working properly once again!
