My printer is stuck on the loading screen. I have seen the dozens of other threads about the same issue, and followed HP's "suggestions" on how to fix it, but nothing works. I have tried to look for instructions for a hard reset, but the only way I have found is through the menu on the printer, WHICH IS USELESS WHEN THE PRINTER IS FROZEN!

Hi @abc444444,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand how frustrating it can be when your HP Envy 7155 is stuck on the loading screen, especially after trying common troubleshooting steps. Here’s a more hands-on approach you can try.

  • Turn off the printer: Hold the power button until the screen goes black (if it doesn't immediately power off, unplug the printer from the power source).
  • Unplug the printer: Once powered off, unplug the printer from the wall outlet and disconnect any cables (USB, Ethernet, etc.) attached to it.
  • Wait for 60 seconds: Let the printer sit unplugged for at least 1 minute to allow it to reset fully.
  • Plug the printer back in: Reconnect the power cable, and plug it back into the wall outlet.
  • Power on the printer: Press the power button and see if the printer goes past the loading screen.

If that doesn't resolve it, you can also try:

Factory Reset (Using the Printer’s Button Combination):

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Hold the Power and Cancel buttons (located near the screen) at the same time while pressing the Wireless button (the blue light) for 10-15 seconds.
  • The printer should reset itself and try to reboot.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Also have this issue and nothing has worked and it’s impossible to reset simply by turning it off.
