HP Photosmart 7520 - Set up cartridge

HP Recommended
HP photosmart 7520
Microsoft Windows XP

I have looked everywhere but cannot find a solution to this problem. Need urgent help!

I have purchased my printer a few years ago and never had this problem. It is a HP Photosmart 7520. I have been doing some decorating in the office room and had all equipments removed from the room. As the refurbish has been finished i have set up the room again but my printer is requesting set up cartridges - bit confused! If it is the original cartridges it's requesting then no way am i going to have these. I have used original cartridges without a problem so why is it requesting the setup cartridge now?? My printer is perfect apart from this issue & cannot afford a replacement now. I cannot find any retail places that sell these cartridges. I have looked everywhere for solution but found none. I have seen posts here with similar problems with a solution. Can i have info please? Please help!

Kind regards

Hi @Foxy2020,

We would have to perform an OOBE reset on the printer to bypass the error

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
