Hi @bertdebroisse ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're experiencing a few issues with your HP OfficeJet 6968 printer, including error code 0x61 0000hp and a persistent paper jam message even though there doesn't seem to be any paper jammed. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot these issues:

Restart the Printer: Since you've already unplugged the printer, leave it unplugged for a few minutes to allow it to reset completely. Then plug it back in and try turning it on again.

Clear Paper Jam: Even if you don't see any paper jammed, there might be small shreds of paper or debris triggering the sensor. Open all access doors and carefully check for any obstructions. Use a flashlight if necessary. If you find any debris, gently remove it.

Reset the Printer: Sometimes, a reset can resolve various issues. To reset your HP OfficeJet 6968, follow these steps:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Wait for about a minute.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer.

Update Printer Firmware: Make sure your printer has the latest firmware installed. You can usually check for updates through the printer's settings menu or by visiting the HP support website and entering your printer model. Update the firmware on an HP printer

Check for Hardware Issues: If the issue persists after trying the above steps, there may be a hardware problem with the printer. In this case, contacting HP support or taking the printer to a service center may be necessary for further diagnosis and repair.
