HP Printer Officejet 6962 in June of last year. It began to malfunction in March 2020

I purchased a HP Printer Officejet 6962 in June of last year. It began to malfunction in March during the shut down so I did not use in anticipation of returning it. I purchased from Staples. When I returned it on or about May 2020, I was told that Because I did not purchase insurance I had to go through the manufacturer. The problem is the print heads are bad. When I went t your site it now sys it is out of warranty. I googled this and learned that the print head problem in common, something that I was not aware of when purchased. The printer will also not print Black. What can be done? 

 

This is a major product defect. We are in COVID-19 and I am having a difficult time getting work done.
