@abirhasan-iut, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Based on your description and the image you provided, your HP Smart Tank 518 Wireless All-in-One Printer is showing:

  • A red Resume button light (paper icon)
  • A red screen light
  • No power button light

These indicators typically point to a hardware or operational error. Here's how you can troubleshoot this step-by-step:

Check for Paper Jam or Out of Paper

  • Open the input and output trays.
  • Remove any jammed paper carefully.
  • Ensure the paper is loaded correctly in the input tray.

Check Ink Levels and Cartridges

  • Open the ink tank lid and ensure all ink tanks have sufficient ink.
  • Make sure the ink tank caps are properly closed.
  • If recently refilled, ensure no air bubbles are trapped in the ink lines.

Reset the Printer

  • Disconnect the power cable from the printer and wall outlet.
  • Wait 30 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cable directly to a wall outlet (avoid surge protectors).
  • Press the Power button to turn on the printer.

Check for Printhead Issues

  • Open the front access door and inspect the printhead area.
  • Make sure the printhead is properly seated.
  • Use the HP Smart App or printer menu to run a printhead cleaning.

Firmware Update (if accessible)

If the printer powers on after reset, check for firmware updates via the HP Smart App or HP Software and Drivers.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
