I have a HP Tango X, bought it in Spain, moved to US, and HP website says the Cartridge is 64, it won't work and says it's not compatible.

After researching, I saw that it's possible to reset the printer region, but only thought support. I can't find any way to contact support if not paying for it.

Another option is asked for the warranty thought the cartridge, but again, when trying to find the information the webpage asks for serial number that doesn't exist for cartridges.

How can I proceed here?

No support was provided, the solution they ask me is calling to Spain from where I'm, that's not the accepted solution (the region reset) that I was expecting. Unfortunately HP has another unhappy customer, wasting a hardware that now is just garbage as they can't provide a way to use printer because of a flag they can change in their printer.

Also I bought a cartridge and is here with the package opened, I can't return and also waste of money and more garbage. This demonstrate how they are compromised reducing carbon footprint.

Hi @vessosa,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I'd like to help!

I understand you moved and the printer is not accepting the new region cartridges.

We need to perform a regional reset on the printer to resolve this issue.

The reset instructions are specific to your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instructions to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

I hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.
