Product: HP Elitebook 840 G8

Hi HP community,

I'm experiencing issues with my HP Thunderbolt 120W G2 dock and HP Elitebook 840 G8 laptop. Here's the situation:

Current setup:

  • HP Thunderbolt 120W G2 dock
  • 2 monitors, keyboard, and mouse connected to the dock
  • HP Elitebook 840 G8 laptop

Problem: When I connect my laptop to the dock:

  1. The dock charges my laptop successfully.
  2. However, there's no video output to the monitors.
  3. The keyboard and mouse connected to the dock don't work with the laptop.

Interestingly:

  • When I connect my iPhone 15 to the dock, it works perfectly (video output and USB devices function correctly).

Steps I've already taken:

  1. Installed the latest Windows updates
  2. Applied all updates from HP Support Assistant
  3. Installed the latest firmware and drivers for the dock from the HP website

Despite these efforts, the issue persists with my laptop.

My question: Are there any other troubleshooting steps or solutions I can try to resolve this problem?
