Hi @Viaanvasu,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're having trouble printing from your HP Deskjet 2130 printer on your Macbook, here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot the issue.

Check Printer Connections:

  • Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your Macbook and that it's powered on.
  • If you're using a USB connection, verify that the USB cable is securely plugged into both the printer and your Macbook.

Check Printer Status:

  • Open System Preferences on your Macbook.
  • Click on "Printers & Scanners" or "Print & Fax".
  • Check if your HP Deskjet 2130 is listed on the left-hand side. If it's not listed, try adding it by clicking on the "+" button and following the on-screen instructions.

Verify Printer Queue:

  • Open the "Printers & Scanners" preference pane as mentioned above.
  • Select your HP Deskjet 2130 from the list of printers.
  • Check if there are any print jobs stuck in the queue. If there are, try canceling them and then try printing again.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Make sure you have the latest printer drivers installed for your HP Deskjet 2130. Sometimes, macOS updates can cause compatibility issues with older drivers.
  • Visit the HP support website, enter your printer model (Deskjet 2130), and download the latest drivers for macOS.

Restart Devices:

  • Sometimes, restarting both your printer and your Macbook can resolve connectivity issues. Turn off your printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. Restart your Macbook as well.

Check for macOS Updates:

  • Ensure that your macOS is up to date. Apple frequently releases updates that include improvements for printer compatibility and performance.

Reset Printing System (if needed):

  • As a last resort, you can reset the printing system on your Macbook. This will remove all printers and scanners from your list, so you'll need to re-add them.
  • Open "Printers & Scanners" in System Preferences, right-click (or Ctrl-click) in the printer list sidebar, then choose "Reset printing system". Confirm the action and then re-add your HP Deskjet 2130.

By following these steps, you should be able to diagnose and resolve the printing issue with your HP Deskjet 2130 on your Macbook.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
