A friend just gave me her used HP Deskjet 3752 and I cant get it to set up. It turns on but it has a bunch of error lights going off [See attached picture]. I tried following the set up instructions but they are not working probably due to the error messages. I'm usually pretty good with technology but not sure how to get past this. I tried looking up videos but found nothing similar and no actual HP help line. Anyone here know their stuff?

@Whiskas, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

It looks like your HP DeskJet 3752 is stuck in a multi-light error state. Let’s walk through the troubleshooting process to get it properly reset and ready for setup.

Power Reset the Printer

Turn off the printer.

Unplug the power cable from both the wall and the printer.

Wait for about 60 seconds.

Reconnect the power cable and turn the printer back on.

Check the Ink Cartridges

Open the cartridge access door.

Remove both ink cartridges.

Make sure they are the correct type for the HP DeskJet 3752.

Gently clean the electrical contacts on both the cartridges and inside the carriage using a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water.

Reinsert both cartridges until they click firmly into place.

Close the access door and check if the error lights clear.

Reset Web Services and Network

Press the Information (i) button to print a Network Configuration Page.

Note the printer’s IP address from the page and open it in your web browser (for example: http://192.168.x.x).

In the Embedded Web Server (EWS), go to Web Services and click Remove Web Services.

Once removed, enable Web Services again and follow the setup instructions.

Reconnect Wi-Fi

Press and hold the Wireless and Cancel (X) buttons together for 5 seconds to restore wireless settings.

Wait for the blue light to start blinking.

Use the HP Smart app to set up the printer again on your Wi-Fi network.

Ensure the blue wireless light turns solid once connected.

Update Firmware and Drivers

Go to the HP Software and Drivers page for the HP DeskJet 3752.

Download and install the latest firmware and full feature software.

Reboot the printer after installation and check for any remaining errors.
