HI @BLSCAS,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're dealing with a frustrating situation. Here are some troubleshooting steps to help you resolve the issue with your HP DeskJet Plus 4155:
Step 1: Check Ink Cartridges
- Install Cartridges: Ensure that the ink cartridges are correctly installed and have sufficient ink.
- Check for Protective Tape: Make sure any protective tape on the cartridges has been removed.
Step 2: Restart Devices
- Turn Off the Printer: Unplug it from the power source for about 60 seconds.
- Restart Your Computer: This can help clear any stuck print jobs.
- Plug the Printer Back In: Turn it back on after waiting.
Step 3: Clear Print Queue
- Open the Print Queue: Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
- Select Your Printer: Click on your printer and choose Open Queue.
- Cancel All Documents: If there are any stuck print jobs, right-click and select Cancel.
Step 4: Set Printer as Default
- Go to Printers & Scanners: In the same settings menu, make sure your HP DeskJet Plus 4155 is set as the default printer.
Step 5: Run the Printer Troubleshooter
- Open Settings: Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
- Additional Troubleshooters: Select Printer and run the troubleshooter.
Step 6: Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers
- Visit HP's Website: Go to the HP support website.
- Download Drivers: Search for your printer model and download the latest drivers.
- Reinstall the Printer: You can also remove and then re-add the printer through Printers & Scanners.
Step 7: Check Firewall and Antivirus Settings
- Ensure that your firewall or antivirus software is not blocking the printer from communicating with your computer.
Step 8: Check Wi-Fi Connection
- Make sure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer. You can print a network configuration page from the printer’s control panel to verify this.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
