Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 8715 All-in-One Printer

COuld using off brand ink cartridges instead of HP brand be causing my problems with "Printhead not detected" error message.  I have already tried the remedies from other users who are having the same issues.

Very unlikely, printhead error is known on that printer model using genuine inks too.

Printhead replacement, but it will not be cheap, printheads are +200 US$
