Hi @PrayankPandiaPP,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Printing through Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) can sometimes be tricky due to various factors related to driver compatibility, settings, and configurations. Here’s a detailed guide to help you troubleshoot and resolve the issue of getting your HP LaserJet Pro 126nw to print when using RDP:

1. Verify Basic Setup

Local Printer Functionality:

  • Ensure that your HP LaserJet Pro 126nw is working properly on your local machine outside of RDP.

Driver Installation:

  • Make sure that the correct and latest drivers for the HP LaserJet Pro 126nw are installed on both your local machine and the remote machine (if applicable).

2. Configure RDP Printer Redirection

  • On your local machine, open Remote Desktop Connection (you can search for mstsc in the Start menu).
  • Click on Show Options to expand the settings.
  • Go to the Local Resources tab.
  • Under Local devices and resources, ensure that Printers is checked. This will redirect your local printers to the remote session.
  • Connect to your remote desktop as usual.

3. Check Printer Redirection on Remote Desktop

  • Once connected to the remote desktop, check if your HP LaserJet Pro 126nw appears in the list of available printers.
  • If the printer is listed, try setting it as the default printer within the remote session.

4. Install Printer Drivers on Remote Desktop

  • Download the latest drivers for the HP LaserJet Pro 126nw from the HP Support website.
  • Install the drivers on the remote desktop. Sometimes, having the driver installed on both the local and remote machines can help resolve issues.

5. Check Printer Settings

  • Open Devices and Printers on the remote desktop.Right-click on your HP LaserJet Pro 126nw and select Printer Properties.
  • Check the settings to ensure they are configured correctly.
  • Try printing a test page from the printer properties to see if it works.

6. Verify Network and Connectivity

  • Ensure that the HP LaserJet Pro 126nw is correctly set up as a network printer and is accessible over the network.
  • Check that any firewall settings on both local and remote machines are not blocking the print jobs.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
