Hi @jennietaylor94,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The 10.1001 Supply Memory Error on HP LaserJet printers typically occurs when the printer detects an issue with the toner cartridge's memory. This can happen after a cartridge refill or if the cartridge's memory chip is malfunctioning.

Here are some steps you can take to try and resolve the issue.

  • Reinstall Cartridge: Try removing the cartridge from the printer and reinstalling it. Make sure it is properly seated in the printer.
  • Restart Printer: Turn off the printer, wait for a few minutes, and then turn it back on. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve the error.
  • Update Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model on the HP website. Updating the firmware may resolve compatibility issues.
  • Clean Contacts: Clean the electrical contacts on both the cartridge and the printer with a lint-free cloth or cotton swab lightly moistened with rubbing alcohol. Make sure the contacts are dry before reinstalling the cartridge.
  • Try Another Cartridge: If possible, try using a different cartridge to see if the error persists. This can help determine if the issue is with the cartridge or the printer itself.
  • Reset Printer: Some HP printers have a reset option in the settings menu. Check your printer's manual or HP's support website for instructions on how to perform a reset.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
