Hi @KKevin,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP OfficeJet Pro Premier 9010 is reporting a document jam in the scanner feeder without any visible obstruction, try these steps to clear the error.

Reset the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait 60 seconds. Plug it back in and turn it on. This can often clear false jam errors.

Check the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF):

  • Open the ADF cover and inspect the inside. Look for any small bits of paper or debris that may be caught in the rollers or other components.
  • Gently rotate the rollers to ensure they move freely and have no obstructions.
  • Use a flashlight to check if any small, barely visible particles are stuck inside.

Clean the ADF Rollers:

  • If you have access to an ADF roller cleaning kit or cleaning cloth, gently clean the rollers with a lint-free cloth dampened with distilled water.
  • Make sure to dry the rollers completely before using the feeder.

Re-seat the Document Feeder Cover:

  • Make sure that the ADF cover is securely closed. Sometimes, if it’s slightly out of place, the sensor might think there’s a jam.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • Ensure your printer's firmware is up to date. Sometimes, firmware updates resolve issues like false error messages.

Test the ADF:

  • Try scanning a single sheet of paper to see if the error clears. Use a clean, smooth sheet without wrinkles or creases to ensure it feeds properly.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
