Hi @KennyC3,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Officejet Pro 6830, which is in an error state with a document stuck in the print queue.

Here are some steps to resolve the error state and clear the stuck document in the print queue for your HP Officejet Pro 6830:

Step 1: Restart the Printer and Computer

  1. Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Shut down your computer.
  3. Wait for at least 2 minutes, then turn on your printer and computer.

Step 2: Clear the Print Queue

Stop the Print Spooler Service:

  • Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog box.
  • Type services.msc and press Enter.
  • Scroll down and locate Print Spooler.
  • Right-click Print Spooler and select Stop.

Delete the Stuck Print Job:

  • Open File Explorer and navigate to C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS.
  • Delete all files in this folder. (You might need administrative permissions.)

Restart the Print Spooler Service:

  • Go back to the Services window.
  • Right-click Print Spooler and select Start.

Try printing a new document to see if the issue is resolved.

Step 3: Check Printer Status

  • Open the Printers & Scanners settings on your computer.
  • Select your HP Officejet Pro 6830, then click Open Queue.
  • Right-click the stuck document and choose Cancel if it's still there.

Step 4: Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers

  1. Visit the HP Support Page for the Officejet Pro 6830.
  2. Download and install the latest drivers for your printer.
  3. Restart your computer after installation.

Step 5: Reset the Printer

  1. With the printer turned on, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
  2. Wait 60 seconds.
  3. Plug the power cord back in and turn the printer on.

Step 6: Test Printing

  • Print a test page to check if the issue has been resolved.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
