I have the same issue with my Officejet Pro 8025 All-in-One, product number 1KR57A. Got this error code after installing brand new ink cartridges. Any help would be appreciated.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,

I understand you are receiving a "04358A98 " error on the printer screen. We can perform a factory defaults on the printer to resolve the issue

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
  • In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Support Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/notes/privatenotespage

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Why has my question not been answered yet? Printer is still randomly going to a blank white screen and flashing icons.  Have to unplug or hold power button for several seconds every time to fix it.

There aren't any messages in my folder. Can you not just post the instructions publicly? There seems to be a number of people with the same issue.

These are the instructions I received (although I ended up getting rid of the printer before trying them, just hope they help someone else instead of waiting for a response):

Please try these steps -

  • 1.) On the bottom left side of the printer control panel where the Return icon (Mackenzie333_0-1645216177799.png

) displays, touch the area four (4) times. During this step, the Return icon is not illuminated.
  • 2.) Touch Support Menu.
  • 3.) Touch the right arrow, until u see the reset menu, and then press ok
  • 4.)Select Semi-Full Reset and Touch OK.
  • 5.)Wait for the unit to Power Down/Turn Off.
  • 6.)Press the Power button to turn the Printer ON
