Hi @lalithapvs

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP LaserJet M1005 MFP is stuck with a "print queue error" and you’ve already tried restarting the Print Spooler service, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue. Here's a comprehensive guide to help you get your printer back up and running:

1. Check Printer Status and Connection

  • Verify that the printer is powered on and properly connected to your computer or network.
  • Check the printer’s display panel for any error messages or warnings.
  • If using a USB connection, ensure the cable is securely connected to both the printer and the computer.
  • For network printers, ensure that the printer is connected to the network and has a valid IP address.

2. Clear the Print Queue

Cancel All Documents:

  • Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click on your HP LaserJet M1005 MFP and select See what's printing.
  • Click on Printer in the menu and select Cancel All Documents to clear the print queue.
  • Open Services by typing services.msc in the Start menu search box.
  • Find Print Spooler in the list, right-click on it, and select Restart.

3. Remove and Reinstall Printer

  • Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click on your HP LaserJet M1005 MFP and select Remove device.
  • Disconnect the printer from your computer.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Reconnect the printer and let Windows detect it automatically or use the installation CD or download the driver from the HP website.

4. Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers

  • Visit the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for the HP LaserJet M1005 MFP.
  • Install the drivers and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • Go to Control Panel > Device Manager.
  • Expand Printers or Print queues, right-click on your HP LaserJet M1005 MFP, and select Uninstall.
  • Reboot your computer and reinstall the drivers from the HP website.

5. Check for Windows Updates:

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
  • Check for updates and install any that are available. Sometimes updates can resolve compatibility issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
