Hi @61Kmart,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're trying to print from your Android phone to an HP printer via Bluetooth, but encountering an app requirement message. Printing from an Android device to an HP printer typically requires the HP Print Service Plugin app. Here’s what you can do.

Install HP Print Service Plugin: Make sure you have the HP Print Service Plugin app installed on your Android device. This app allows you to print from your phone to compatible HP printers.

  • Go to the Google Play Store on your Android device.
  • Search for "HP Print Service Plugin" and install it.
  • Once installed, open the app and follow any setup instructions if prompted.

Enable Printing: Ensure that Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are both enabled on your Android device and that your HP printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

Print: Open the document or item you want to print on your Android device.

  • Tap the Share or Print option (depending on the app).
  • Select HP Print Service Plugin from the list of printing options.
  • Choose your printer and adjust any print settings as needed.
  • Tap Print to send the document to your HP printer.

If you continue to encounter issues, check for updates for the HP Print Service Plugin app and ensure your printer's firmware is up to date. This should help resolve any compatibility or connectivity problems.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
