My HP Envy 7858 is stuck on the loading screen and I've powered off the printer and router and that hasn't worked.

Hi @Craig451,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the printer's screen stuck at on the loading screen!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try the following troubleshooting steps:

1. Perform a Hard Reset

  1. Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Remove any USB cables or memory cards connected to the printer.
  3. Wait 2-3 minutes to allow the printer to fully reset.
  4. Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds (if available).
  5. Plug the printer back into a direct wall outlet (avoid power strips).
  6. Turn the printer back on and check if it boots up properly.

2. Check for Paper Jams or Obstructions

  • Open the printer cover and look for any paper stuck inside the machine.
  • Remove any debris or jammed paper carefully.
  • Close the cover and restart the printer.

3. Perform a Firmware Recovery (if possible)

If the printer is stuck but still powers on:

  1. Press and hold the WiFi and Cancel (X) buttons together while turning on the printer.
  2. Keep holding the buttons until the HP logo appears.
  3. If the printer enters recovery mode, follow the instructions to update firmware.

4. Try a Semi-Full Reset (Factory Reset)

If the issue persists, try resetting the printer:

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Hold the WiFi and Power buttons together for 10 seconds.
  3. Release the buttons and wait for the reset process to complete.

Let me know if any of these step's help, or if the issue persists! 😊
