I put anew ink cartridge in my HP Deskjet 3720 printer, now the error message “door open” shows on the control panel of my PC.  I tried unplugging, checking the door was securely closed and re-plugging but this makes no difference.  Any advice please?

Thanks for taking the trouble to reply.  I have now resolved the problem - I located the door sensor and wiggled it about a bit, cleaning off residue of ink and it has done the trick!
