HP4520 Stopped printing envelopes

I often print envelopes, usually A2 or Number 10, on my HP printer. Suddenly, the printer responds to a print order by pulling the envelope into the print process, makes sounds of many print passes, then ejects the envelope still blank. I have tried restarting the printer, checked the firmware (reports as up to date), and searched the internet with no solution found. Page prints work fine and there is plenty of ink both black and color. I am stumped and hope a knowledgeable fellow traveler can clue me in on what to do. BTW, I usually print from the current version of Apple Pages and have done without problem until now.

According to the printer specifications, this printer supports printing on envelopes.

Make sure the envelopes are correctly loaded in the input tray as shown in this document - Loading Paper, Cards, and Envelopes

Check for any software updates on MAC

Click the Apple icon > About This Mac > Software Update and install any available update.

If the issue persists, try printing the envelopes from a different application.
