Hi @JAYESS62,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

To address the issue of your HP ENVY Photo 7858 All-in-One Printer incorrectly requesting 4x5 photo paper when attempting to print on a 5x7 envelope, you can follow these troubleshooting steps:

Check Paper Size Settings in the Printer Software:

  • Open the document or image you want to print.
  • Go to File > Print or press Ctrl + P.
  • Select your HP ENVY Photo 7858 printer from the list.
  • Click on Printer Properties or Preferences.
  • In the Paper Size or Paper/Quality tab, make sure to select 5x7 Envelope (or the correct size for your envelope).
  • Ensure that the paper type is set to Envelope.

Set Paper Size on the Printer’s Control Panel:

  • On the printer's control panel, navigate to Settings.
  • Select Paper Setup or Tray Settings.
  • Set the Paper Size to 5x7 Envelope.
  • Make sure the Paper Type is correctly set to Envelope.

Adjust the Paper Tray:

  • Open the paper tray and adjust the paper guides to fit the 5x7 envelope snugly.
  • Make sure the envelope is loaded correctly, typically face up with the flap on the left or as indicated by the tray markings.

Clear Any Stuck Print Jobs:

  • Cancel any existing print jobs on your computer or from the printer control panel.
  • Restart both your computer and the printer to clear any print queue issues.

Update Printer Drivers and Firmware:

  • Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed. You can download them from the HP Support website.
  • Check for any available firmware updates for your printer, as updates can resolve printing issues.

Restart the Printer:

  • Power off the printer completely, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in and power it on.

Test Print:

  • Attempt to print the envelope again after confirming all settings are correct.

If the issue persists after trying these steps, resetting the printer to its default settings or reinstalling the printer software might help resolve any configuration errors.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
