I just bought 2 new HP cartridges for my HP8610 - which has been working perfectly for years. The minute I put them in, I got  the printhead error. I have done the hard reset, cleaned out the printhead, and tried it all with no success. 

 

From my understanding there are no current printer models that take the 950 and 951 ink cartridges?? I'd have to go find a used 8600-series printer to use? Are there no CURRENT models of printers that take these cartridges? 

 

I find it kinda ridiculous that they sell these older cartridges with zero way to upgrade them or convert using them when the printer goes kaput.
