Hi @semplice,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like there could be several reasons why your HP2710e printer is only printing blank pages when you try to print documents but successfully prints a test page. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue.

  • Check Ink or Toner Levels: Ensure that there is sufficient ink or toner in the cartridges. Low ink or toner levels can sometimes cause blank pages to be printed.
  • Print Head Alignment: Run a print head alignment or cleaning process through your printer's maintenance menu. This can help ensure that the print heads are properly aligned and functioning correctly.
  • Printer Drivers: Make sure that your printer drivers are up to date. Outdated or corrupted drivers can sometimes cause printing issues. Visit the HP website to download and install the latest drivers for your specific printer model.
  • Document Format and Settings: Verify that the documents you are trying to print are in a compatible format and that the print settings (such as paper size, orientation, etc.) are correctly configured.
  • Restart Printer and Computer: Sometimes, simply restarting both your printer and your computer can resolve temporary communication or software issues.
  • Check for Firmware Updates: Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. Firmware updates can sometimes fix bugs or improve printer performance.
  • Paper Quality and Settings: Check the paper quality and ensure that it is loaded correctly into the printer tray. Improper paper loading or using wrinkled/damaged paper can cause printing problems.
  • Reset Printer: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, you may need to reset your printer to its factory defaults. Refer to your printer's user manual for instructions on how to perform a reset.

If you continue to experience issues after trying these steps, it may indicate a hardware problem with the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
