Have to shut down and power up every day to print

1. Printer pretty much "randomly" prints. As, in sometimes it will print, sometimes it won't.

2. Am able to print from iPhone, sometimes.

3. Am able to print from desktop, sometimes.

4. If I power off the printer and then turn it back on, it will print, most of the time. (Until late in the day, or the next day.)

5. I deleted the printer from Control Panel, and tried to set it up again, "unable to Set up".

6. The printer is on the network, the same network as my desktop and iPhone.

7. It's totally random when the printer will print and not print. Sometimes I can print from a PDF, or DOC, but other times not one or the other, or both.

8. From the HP site, I have updated drivers, etc.

I'm at a total loss as to what may be wrong.

Any ideas?

I think I see the problem now... HP does not support Mac's Big Sur.

 

Silly me, I thought HP was a real company! lol

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Are you getting any error message or code while setting up the printer?
  • Have you tried updating the printer firmware?
