HP Deskjet GT 5820
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I transported my printer to a new location, i turned off the ink knob near the ink tank. For around 7-8 days i was not used neither was the ink knob turned on. When finally the printer was used it did not print, then it did print with very faint ink and there is no improvement after many trails.

How do i fix this?

@Shubhams417, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

The printhead of this printer can be cleaned by the HP Printer Assistant.

  1. Open or search for the HP DeskJet GT 5820 on your PC, click on the printer icon.

    HP Printer Assistant opens.

  2. On the HP Printer Assistant window, click Maintain Your Printer.

  3. Click the Device Services tab, and then click Clean Ink Cartridges.

A Print Quality Diagnostic page prints.

Note: If you do not have HP Printer Assistant installed, click here to download the same.

If the issue persists, follow the troubleshooting steps mentioned in this document.
