Welcome to the HP Support Community! 😊

Thank you for posting your query. I'd be happy to help you get the Tricolor 65XL cartridge working with your HP DeskJet 2652 All-in-One Printer.

Important Clarification:

The HP DeskJet 2652 printer is designed to work only with original HP 65 or HP 65XL cartridges (both black and tri-color). If “Relcolor 65XL” refers to a third-party or remanufactured cartridge, compatibility and performance are not guaranteed, and the printer may not recognize the cartridge or may display errors like:

  • “Cartridge Problem”

  • “Incompatible Cartridge”

  • “Used or counterfeit cartridge detected”

Recommended Steps to Resolve:

Check Cartridge Compatibility

Ensure you're using genuine HP cartridges:

Remove and Reinsert Cartridges

  • Open the printer's ink cartridge access door.

  • Wait until the carriage is idle and silent.

  • Remove the Relcolor cartridge.

  • Gently wipe the copper contacts on the cartridge and the printer with a lint-free cloth.

  • Reinsert the cartridge firmly until it clicks.

Reset the Printer

  1. With the printer ON, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

  2. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

  3. Wait 60 seconds.

  4. Plug the power cord back into the outlet and the printer.

  5. Turn on the printer and check if the issue is resolved.

Try a Different Cartridge

If the problem persists, try inserting a genuine HP 65/65XL cartridge to check if the issue lies with the cartridge.

I hope this helps!
