Anyone know how to stop a stupid HP Office Jet Pro 8710 from printing an unwanted print job. Nothing seems to cancel it.

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.

Your question lacks enough context for us to offer much in the way of a reasonable answer.

"Stupid" and "Nothing" are somewhat descriptive but neither provides any actual detail.

In GENERAL,

There are several types of unwanted printing, including and not limited to:

  • Jobs stuck in the queue - Resetting / Rebuilding the queue usually fixes job queue issues.
  • Constant printing of an alignment page that has been mistaken for "something else" - Scanning the alignment sheet and allowing the printer to complete the alignment should resolve this one.
  • Garbled or short messages that include a couple of lines "http" - this one might be more difficult to resolve.
  • Scam messages - these are usually due to the printer email address either being open (everyone allowed) or otherwise provided to people who should not be allowed to send ePrint jobs to your printer.  This is a security issue - resolution depends on which"doors" have been left open.

If you would like to do so:

Please try to describe what is happening - and what you have already tried to fix the problem.

It is also very important that you include the Operating System and version that you are running.
