After printing I got an error code E3. Resume light and ink alert are blinking. It says to open access door and move cartridge to the right, close the door and press resume.  However, the cartridge will not move and the printer will not reset,  How do you resolve this?

Hi @Mike20205,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are getting the E3 error code on your HP Deskjet 3755 printer when the cartridge won't move and the printer won't reset, you can try the following steps:

Power Cycle the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 1-2 minutes.
  • Plug the printer back into the power source and turn it on.

Manually Move the Cartridge:

  • Open the access door to the cartridge area.
  • Try to gently move the cartridge manually to the right if possible. Be careful not to force it if it doesn't move easily.
  • Close the access door.

Check for Obstructions:

  • Ensure there are no paper jams or obstructions in the cartridge area that could be preventing the cartridge from moving.

Reset the Printer:

  • Sometimes resetting the printer to its factory settings can resolve such issues. To do this:
    • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
    • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
    • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
    • Turn the printer on if it does not automatically turn on.

Update Printer Firmware (if possible): Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Ensure your printer has the latest firmware installed. You can usually update this through the printer's control panel or the HP Smart app.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
