Deskjet 2752e printer is not connecting to the app and on the printer all the lights are flashing

If all the lights on your HP DeskJet 2752e are flashing and the printer is not connecting to the HP Smart app, it usually indicates a connection or firmware issue. Let’s walk through the steps to fix it:

Power Reset the Printer

This clears temporary errors.

  • With the printer powered on, unplug the power cord from the back.
  • Unplug it from the wall outlet too.
  • Wait 60 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and turn it on.

Check if the lights stop flashing.

 

Restore Network Settings

This resets Wi-Fi settings so you can reconnect.

  • Press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button together for 5 seconds.
  • The printer will restart and enter setup mode (blue light should blink).

Reconnect Using HP Smart App

Make sure you’re using the latest version of the HP Smart app.

  • Download or update the app: HP Smart
  • Open the app and tap “+” to add a printer.
  • Follow the on-screen steps to connect your printer to Wi-Fi.

Ensure your phone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network you want the printer to use.

Update Printer Firmware

Outdated firmware can cause flashing lights.

  • Go to: Official HP® Support
  • Enter your printer model (2752e) and download the latest firmware.
  • Install it using your PC or HP Smart app.

Factory Reset (if needed)

If nothing works, a full reset may help.

  • Press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons for 20 seconds.
  • This will reset the printer to factory defaults.
