The printer shows as being a network printer when I go into devices and printers on my laptop. It is my wifes printer as we both have a printer.I have just replaced the cartridges on her printer and tried to print from my laptop but it does not print but it has always printed,I believe it has something to do with it being a network printer. How do I get it back to how it was previously.

Hello, @toby999
Check the image below to attach the screen shot. Click on the icon I circled in blue.
This is how you can attach the screen shot on your reply!
Also, try the steps below. to add the printer:
- Unplug the USB cable from the printer and computer if present.
- Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP Deskjet printer entries and uninstall them.
- Restart your computer.
- Now click on http://hp.care/2oVODtk to download and install the printer drivers.
- Connect the USB cable if prompted and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.
Let me know if that helps!
Cheers 🙂

Hello, @toby999 - Hope you are well 🙂
Thanks for engaging in the HP Forums! I see by your post that you are experiencing issues with your HP Printer. I will certainly do my best to help you!
First off, try to fix this issue using HP Print and Scan Doctor (PSDR). PSDR is an automated tool which can diagnose and resolve printing and scanning problems. Please go to http://hp.care/2bZ9w2q to download and run HP PSDR. Once you open the program, select your printer and click on “Fix Printing” to automatically diagnose and fix the issue.
This will make sure the printer is selected as the default printer. Also, you can check the ink level using the same tool.
You can download the printer manual here: http://hp.care/2pYObAd
Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance!
Good luck 🙂
