Hi @MG13-1,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It looks like you're dealing with an error code on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8210 printer, specifically "0XB8284398." Printer errors can be frustrating, but let's try some steps to resolve this.

Steps to Resolve Error 0XB8284398

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off your printer, disconnect the power cord.
  • Wait for about 1-2 minutes.
  • Reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer.

Update Firmware:

  • Ensure your printer has the latest firmware:
    • Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page for your printer.
    • Enter your printer model, and then follow the prompts to download and install the latest firmware.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Open all printer covers and look for any jammed paper.
  • If you find any, gently remove it.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn on the printer if it is not already on.
  • Wait until the printer is idle and silent.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Wait 30 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the printer.

Check Ink/Toner Cartridges:

  • Ensure all ink or toner cartridges are properly installed.
  • Check for any empty cartridges and replace if necessary.

Clean the Print Head:

  • If the print quality is poor, you might need to clean the print head.
  • Go to the printer's control panel or use the HP Printer Assistant software on your computer to find the option for print head cleaning.

Reset the Printing System (Mac):

  • If you're on a Mac and the issue persists:
    • Open System Preferences.
    • Click on Printers & Scanners.
    • Right-click (or Control-click) on the printer in the list.
    • Choose "Reset printing system."
    • Re-add the printer and test.

Additional Tips:

  • Ensure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet, not a surge protector or power strip.
  • Make sure the printer has enough space around it for proper ventilation.
  • Check for any firmware updates for your computer as well.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
