Hi @RamneekKrTalwar,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The issue with your HP Neverstop Laser MFP 1200w printer stuck on "Initializing" after refilling the cartridge may occur due to various reasons, such as a misaligned toner refill process, incorrect setup, or a software issue. Here’s a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot the problem.

Check the Refilled Toner Setup

  • Ensure Proper Refill: Verify that the toner was refilled correctly and securely. Follow the refill instructions in your printer manual or online guide for the HP Neverstop series.
  • Check Toner Level Indicator: Make sure the toner level indicator shows the correct amount of toner. If not, reset the indicator by following the steps in the user manual for resetting toner levels after refilling.

Inspect the Toner System Components

  • Clean the Toner Sensor: Dust or residual toner can block the toner sensor, causing the printer to misbehave. Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the toner sensor area gently.
  • Check for Damage: Inspect the toner drum and other components for any physical damage caused during the refill process.

Restart and Reset the Printer

  • Power Cycle the Printer:
    1. Turn off the printer.
    2. Unplug it from the power source for at least 30 seconds.
    3. Plug it back in and power it on.
  • Factory Reset (if available):
    • Access the settings menu on the printer (via its control panel) and select the option to reset to factory defaults.

Update or Reinstall Firmware

  • Check for Updates: Outdated firmware can cause initialization issues. Download the latest firmware for the HP Neverstop Laser MFP 1200w from the HP Support Website.
  • Reinstall Firmware: If the firmware update does not resolve the issue, reinstall the firmware using the instructions provided by HP.

Inspect the Paper Path

Sometimes, the printer might also try to initialize if there’s an obstruction:

  • Open the printer and check for any paper jams or foreign objects in the paper path.

Run Diagnostics

  • Use the HP Smart App or the printer’s built-in diagnostic tool to check for any error codes or issues

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
