I just started to use my Windows 11 laptop with my 4130e printer and it only prints 1 page and then stops saying error E3 paper jam.
I press the X button and the printer continues and I have asked the printer to auto clean the rollers but it is still the same and there is no paper jamb that I can see any ideas please?
I have checked my paper length and it is standard A4 297mm but I do not know what else to do, I have turned it over to check for any paper jams and I can see nothing so I don't want to do anything more drastic in stripping it down if there is a simple solution. I have tried to print from a Windows 10 laptop and it stopped again but after 2 pages and again continued once the X button was pressed. Now i am stuck can someone help me please?

Hi @JohnNettie,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
I understand that you are facing issues with the error E3.
E3 error indicates a carriage jam.
If you have performed all the steps from this document Carriage jam or E3 error and still having issues, then this could be a hardware.
You may also refer to this document for Paper Jams.

Hi there and thanks for helping, I thought I have already replied to say that you may well be right in what you have suggested but I do not want to do anything drastic and may try to live with the error message. I don't think it is actually a paper jam but I can't find the issue. I will try again bi-passing the Smart App and see if that helps.
Thanks for your efforts nut i am not good at studying all of the document via the links and videos etc. but we will see how it goes.
Regards John

I think this was the paper length afterall as i checked the default is A4 in both the Smart app and the Printer itself and the problem seems to have gone away, I don't think it was sensitive to this when i was using a W10 PC but now with W11 it seems to have kicked in as an issue even when i tried using an older w10 machine. Now that i have sorted all the defaults it seems Ok.
