Hi @Anthonyv64,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear about the frustration with your HP ENVY 7858 printer being stuck on the loading screen. Since you've already tried the power cycle method, let's explore a few other steps that might help resolve this issue.
Check for Any Hardware Issues:
- Unplug the Printer: Disconnect all cables from the printer, including the power cable.
- Check for Paper Jams or Obstructions: Open the printer to see if there are any paper jams or objects that might be causing the issue.
- Check the Cartridge Area: Ensure that the ink cartridges are seated properly.
Reset the Printer to Factory Settings:
- Since the printer is stuck on the loading screen, performing a factory reset may be challenging. However, some models allow a reset via button combinations:
- Power off the Printer: Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord from the back.
- Wait 60 seconds before plugging the power cord back in.
- Press and Hold the Cancel and Wireless Buttons: While holding these buttons, press the Power button to turn on the printer.
- Release the Buttons: After the printer starts up, release the buttons. This may trigger a factory reset or clear any stuck processes.
Update or Reinstall Firmware:
- If the printer does power up beyond the loading screen, try checking for firmware updates using the HP Smart app or via the HP website.
- If you can't get past the loading screen, you may need to use a USB connection to a computer to attempt a firmware update.
Try a Different Power Source:
- Sometimes, insufficient power can cause booting issues. Plug the printer directly into a wall outlet (avoid using power strips) to ensure it's receiving adequate power.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Check for Any Hardware Issues: all have been checked: NOT WORKING
Reset the Printer to Factory Settings: are you aware of my model? there is no cancel button, only power. the wifi light is only an indicator, not a button.
can't get past the loading screen; therefore, can't update the firmware.
- how could I update the firmware if I can't get past the loading screen? will the printer boot from the USB?
- what are the instructions for creating a bootable USB drive if so?
tried a different power source, same result.
do you guys now have a troubleshooting phone line anymore?
