My printer has been used about 10 pages in the last six months since I bought it.  In my last attempt at printing, an error message ER 11 appeared in the window.  Also an orange exclamation mark appears under the blue Wifi icon.  Additional, there is a flashing three sided box with three dots inside the box below the circled red X button. 
I’ve taken the following steps with no luck…

1 rebooted the printer using no extension chords or power surge bars.  There are no paper jams.  The toner cartridge has had very minimal use.

HP has released a new firmware update for your printer, which should help resolve the issue. Please visit the HP Software & Drivers page and download the latest firmware update for your device.
