I understand how frustrating it is when your HP LaserJet M111w pauses between printing multiple copies of a single-page document. This behavior is not normal for a basic print job and can be resolved with a few steps.

Fixes for Delays Between Multiple Page Prints

1. Check Print Spooler Settings

Sometimes the spooler sends each copy as a separate job, causing delays.

  • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers
  • Right-click your HP LaserJet M111w → Printer Properties
  • Under the Advanced tab: 
    • Make sure “Spool print documents so program finishes printing faster” is selected
    • Choose “Start printing immediately”
  • Click Apply and OK

2. Use the HP Smart App or HP Easy Start

HP recommends using the latest setup tools to ensure optimal driver configuration.

  • Download and run HP Easy Start or use the HP Smart app
  • Reinstall the printer using the recommended driver
  • This can resolve delays caused by generic or outdated drivers


3. Avoid “Pause Between Pages” Bug

Some users have reported a known issue where the printer pauses between pages even when printing copies of the same page.

HP’s advice:

  • Try printing from a different app (e.g., Word instead of Chrome)
  • Disable collate if enabled
  • If the issue persists even with copying, it may be a firmware or hardware issue
