Hello

Looking for some advice.  Recently my printer won't print any jobs from any device on my network.  It receives the jobs and displays "Printing" on the printer but nothing actually prints - It even sounds like it tries to print (clicks a bunch of times) but does not grab any paper and ultimately does not print.

I've tried almost everything to troubleshoot before posting this message:

- Unplugged / Rebooted printer (multiple times)  / cleaned and reset print queues / uninstalled- reinstalled drivers (multiple laptops) / directly scan/copy from printer / Ran the HP Scan fix too - all to no avail.

No host on my network can print to it - including laptops and mobile devices.

Recent changes:  I recently installed a new black XL cartridge (thinking that was the issue) but even with the new cartridge - it stil does not print... although my other 3 colors in there are low.  I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Interestingly though - the ONLY thing that does print is a Printer Status report when I do it directly from the printer. No other reports works when running it directly from the printer (Network diags / Printer alignments / etc..)

My thoughts are that it's a hardware issue ... but any help would be appreciated !!!

Are you able to make Photocopies?

If photocopies work, uninstall the printer driver from root level and download the full feature software

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
6.) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the “Drivers” tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Restart the computer and download the full feature software Link: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/OJ871/OJ8710_Full_WebPack_40.12.1161_1.exe and follow the onscreen instructions

Thank you
