I bought a new Hp deskjet printer, 2800 series, and have spent the last 4 hours or so unable to get it to work. Uninstalling and reinstalling the smart app, factory resetting and adding the printer to the app repeatedly, power cycling over and over….nothing works. Too late for customer service to reply but based on my research chances are they won’t be any help at all.

How the hell does the printer finish setup multiple different times, each time after a fresh factory reset, show that it’s ready and EVERYTHING is good and working and ready to print, until I choose to print something? How is it ready with no issues until the second I try to print something and then suddenly it never finished the setup process? I’m gonna end up returning this tomorrow and I highly recommend choosing a different, better printer. Just about anything would be better than this stupid ass paperweight that can’t decide whether it’s finished setting up and ready to print or that it still needs setup despite having been setup repeatedly.
