Hi, I was just wondering if anyone can help me fix my printer as it won’t print in color. I have the HP envy 5055, I’ve had it for a year or so. I currently don’t have a computer so I do all my printing from either my iPhone or iPad. I’m a crafter and recently started getting into scrapbooking. I’ve been wanting to print background pages but my printer for some reason is not always printing in color even though it has ink. The problem arises mostly when it’s light pastel colors. Is there something I’m doing wrong because I’m getting so frustrated trying to print pages and it coming out like a blank coloring page. The black ink prints fine it just the color. I did the print quality diagnostic and it turned out fine so idk why my printer is refusing to do light colors. I’ve attached an example of what I mean, the picture in color is what I wanted but you can see I pretty much got none of it. I’m also attaching the quality control. Please help me 🥺

@MsApple, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand you are not able to print in color from your iOS devices. Which application are you using to print?

Let us try these steps:

Try making a standalone copy in color and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

Update the printer firmware

Go to Setup > Tools > Update the printer

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

Also, check for any software updates o the iOS devices

Go to Settings > General > Update the software

To know how to print using the HP Smart app, click here. Install the app from the App store.

To print via AirPrint, click here.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.
