Hi @Nali123

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

If your HP ENVY 6055e is showing an orange light and is not detecting paper, it typically indicates a paper jam or a paper detection error.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to resolve this issue:

1. Check for Paper Jams

  • Open Printer Access: Carefully open all access points of the printer, including the input and output trays and the cartridge access door.
  • Remove Jammed Paper: Look for any stuck paper inside the printer. Gently remove it to avoid tearing. Use both hands to pull out any whole sheets of paper to avoid tearing them.
  • Inspect the Rollers: Use a flashlight to inspect the rollers and paper path for torn pieces of paper or other obstructions.

2. Reload Paper

  • Load Paper Correctly: Ensure you have properly loaded paper into the input tray. Make sure the paper width guides rest against the edges of the paper without bending it.
  • Check Paper Size and Type: Make sure the loaded paper matches the settings in your print job and is supported by your printer.

3. Reset the Printer

  • Turn off the Printer: Press the power button to turn off the printer.
  • Unplug the Power Cord: Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the electrical outlet.
  • Wait and Reconnect: Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug the power cord back into the printer and wall outlet.
  • Power On: Turn on the printer and try printing again.

4. Check Printer Status

  • Control Panel Message: Look for any error messages on the printer's control panel display that provide more details on the issue.
  • Use HP Smart App: Utilize the HP Smart app to diagnose and run tests to identify the issue.

5. Clean Paper Feed Rollers

  • Turn off and unplug the printer: Before cleaning, ensure the printer is turned off and unplugged.
  • Use Moist Cloth: Clean the rollers with a soft cloth lightly moistened with water, applying a gentle pressure to remove any dust or debris.

If the orange light stays solid and the printer still won’t detect paper, let me know what shows on the display or in the HP Smart app—I’ll help you dig deeper. We’ll get this sorted! 😊
