@Sarahlee218, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP Envy Photo 7800 Printer Stuck on Initializing Screen!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your HP Envy Photo 7800 Printer is stuck on the initializing screen and attempts to perform a hard reset haven't resolved the issue, you can try the following troubleshooting steps:

Check Power Supply:

  • Ensure that the power cord is firmly connected to both the printer and the power outlet.
  • Test the power outlet by plugging in another appliance to confirm it is working.
  • If the printer is connected to a power strip, ensure the power strip is turned on or try connecting the printer directly to the wall outlet.

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord.
  • Wait about 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer. Observe if the issue persists.

Inspect for Blockages:

  • Open the printer and inspect for any paper jams or obstructions that might be affecting the printer's hardware.

Remove and Reinstall Printhead and Cartridges:

  • Open the ink cartridge access door and remove the cartridges.
  • Check for any protective covering or obstruction.
  • Reinstall the cartridges ensuring they are seated properly.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
