When I select print, it turns on, says “printing” and then returns to the Home Screen. I’ve been having this issue off and on for over a year. The printer is 2.5 years old.
It is also not working from my iPhone.

Are you using the AirPrint option or the HP Smart App to print from?
Is there any error on the printer? Are you able to make photocopies on it?
Meanwhile, check for iOS updates and also, update the printer firmware-
Download available firmware updates from the HP website
With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
